Sheep Racing

The annual Sark Sheep Racing took place this weekend. The event raises money for the Professor Saint fund which supports the cost of medication on the island as Sark is not covered by the National Health service. The weather was perfect for the event (especially after last year's rain) and much fun was had by all.

Dixcart Bay

Dixcart Bay lies to the south east of the island. It is reached via a gentle downhill walk through the Dixcart Woods and is another favourite spot for swimmers and beach goers. Visiting yachts often moor here. The beach is a mixture of shingle and sand. Dividing the beach into two sections is a natural rock arch standing out from the sheer cliffs.

Creux Harbour

Sark has one of the smallest harbours in the world still in use today. Mainly used for pleasure craft, Creux Harbour lies to the East of the island near to neighbouring Maseline Harbour where the commerical boats land. Creux Harbour is tidal and is a favourite spot for swimmers on the island.
